Almond Trash Cart

Works Like the Carts You Use Today — With Less Plastic

Made with recycled plastic and almond shell material, this cart is designed to perform like traditional bins while reducing plastic content.

We’re currently testing it in real-world residential environments.

ABOUT THE CART

A residential trash cart currently being evaluated in real-world collection environments. It’s designed to integrate seamlessly into existing systems without changing how carts are used today.

What is it made from?

A material blend of recycled plastic and almond shell byproduct.

This approach reduces overall plastic content while maintaining the structure and function expected from traditional carts.

What is being tested?

Performance in everyday use—including durability, handling, and consistency over time.

The goal is to understand how the material performs under operational and residential conditions.

Why Almond Shells Matter?

Materials play a key role in how everyday products are made—and how much plastic they require.

In the almond industry, each harvest produces more than just the edible nut. Shells are a natural byproduct, generated at scale and increasingly being repurposed as part of a more complete use of agricultural materials.

A more considered approach to materials—without changing performance.

“At AllMade, we think about materials differently. It’s not just about replacing plastic — it Is about using what already exists more thoughtfully.

In agriculture, nothing should go to waste. Almond shells are produced at scale every year, and they represent an opportunity to create durable products while reducing reliance on traditional plastics.”

How the trials work?

These carts will be tested under normal residential conditions specifically in: collection handling, weather exposure, wear and appearance, and overall durability.

  • Submit a short request to tell us about your operation and how you plan to use the cart.

  • We’ll review your application and confirm availability based on fit and trial capacity.

  • Selected participants will receive a cart to use within their existing residential collection setup.

  • Use the cart as you normally would—no changes to your process. Observe how it performs over time and share feedback.

This is not a final production cart. It is part of an active field trial, and performance, durability, and handling are currently under evaluation.
